Make it Monday
Today for Make it Monday we leaned about area perimeter we clicked on a link and it lead us to a site called area perimeter explorer we had to make a picture and pick a shape and count the numbers around the shape .I decried to count the sun it was the number 6 because 2 rows and 4 boxes so its 6 cm i found it quite hard to do . Can you work out the perimeter of the table. If you can comment !

Kia ora Rarika! What and awesome job you have done on your pixel picture. I like the table and chair. I think you have got area and perimeter a little bit confused. The perimeter of your sun is worked out using the measurement around the outside of the shape so it would be 2+2+2+2 = 8 and the area is 2 rows of 2 squares which is 4 in total. Well done for giving it a try, that's what learning is all about. The perimeter of the blue table is 12cm (5+5+1+1). Am I correct?

Hi Rarika, it is great to see you trying so hard on your work. I think the perimeter of the table is 12. 5 + 1 + 5 + 1. Maybe you should look at the sun again.
