Tasting experiment

 Hello my fellow readers.

Today in reading we have learning senses, first day we had to go into a jam board and write ONE posted note each we had to write something we already  know about senses then we had to read a book about our scenes to learn more thing about them.the next day had a challenge to to it was a google drawing there were picture of foods and we had to put them in the right category, we had to put them in sweet sour bitter and unmai! then we had to check the right answers. The next day was a TASTING EXPERIMENT with Miss McNeil ( we had to close our eyes when she was giving us the foods it was sketchy) anyway the first round was honey all of us agreed that honey was sweet (I didn't like the honey) Next was lemon, it was my favorite  out of all of them. It was sour but just good, we all voted for SOUR. The next was coffee all i can say was that it was BITTER  and disgusting. Next was ham is was normal so we all said that is was unmai. Last one was chips but salty chips so of course it was salty!

Poraki the Glutton

H ello my fellow readers toady in reading we have been looking at legends and today the legends is about Poraki the glutton, (if you are wondering a glutton is something that cant stop eating!)  like last time our reading teacher read us a book but this time he was a reviler his name i'm sorry i don't know how to spell his name but he read us the book this time like the other one we had to make a copy of the template and start writing and like always  we had to self check, buddy check and teacher check then post it on our blogs. I hope I helped you know what i was blogging about!

The Story About Poraki The Glutton

Once upon a time there was a bird named Pouāki was an eagle that was a glutton. He really liked to eat man flesh,  he lived on top of Mt Torlesse he/she had a nest up the mountain with eggs, if you looked down from the mouation there was a river, the river water looked like ribbons waving around, there were also toitoi and rapuo flax and swamp by the river. The villagers could not go out to eat food anymore because Pouāki would eat them. Even when there brave villagers would go out to try find food they wouldn't come back. After lots of villagers have died from  everyone  had starved and was very hopeless that they were going to make it.  But there was a man named Ruru that was the fastest one of the village

Ruru had a plan to kill the Pouāki  but he needed 40 other villagers that were brave enough to do Rurus plan. His plan was to make a cage big enough so the 40 other  men could move around and stay in the cage. They have been making the big cage all night ready to finish Pouāki. In the morning they were about done making the cage, Ruru was not in the cage with the others  instead is was being bait, Ruru was not that worried because he knew he was fast and quick.

Pouāki woke up and was HUNGRY so he went out of his nest and began to fly he saw Ruru in the distance and CHARGED down and tried to get Ruru, when Ruru saw him come he ran fast into the cage  and the men closed the gate so they stay in the cage  Pouāki  went on top of the cage and clawed down to try get the men but he got his leg stuck  on the cage and Ruru cut his leg off then Pouāki accidently got his other leg stuck then that leg got cut off too then his wing got stuck and it got cut off too then Pouāki  was dead. Ruru wanted  to see if  Pouāki had any baby birds so they could not have any more troble, they climbed up Mt Torlesse because they knew that Pouāki  lived up there. As they were climbing up the Mountain they head singing not from a human but from a eagle, they memorized the song that the birds were singing  at when they found baby birds and they got killed. Now the villagers can now get food and water, they had a happily ever after! THE END!

How The South Island Was Made

H ello my fellow readers and welcome to my blog!

Today in reading we have been looking at legends right now we are  looking at the legends of how the South island was made. Mrs Jones (my reading teacher) has read to us about how the island was made then we went off and made a copy of the template that Mrs Jones had made, then we started writing but not copying the real story! It ha took me a few weeks to finish. After we had finish our writing we had to self check, buddy check and also teacher check just to make sure we didn't have any mistakes then we had to put it on our blog (which i'm doing right now!) I hope that will help you know i'm blogging about! here is my writing. ♡

The Story Of How The South Island Was Made

(Make sure to scroll)

Once upon a time there was a Man called Rangi he was the sky father, he married a lady called Pokohauro-te-Po and they had four kids that were boys, the eldest son was called Aoraki and his other brothers names were Raikroa, Raikrua and Rarakiroa.

One day Pokohauro-te-Po was upset because Rangi the sky father loved another woman named Papatuanuku the earth mother. Aoraki and his brothers were wanting to see why there dad loved someone else so they went down from the heaven onto the land/sea  to see why there dad loves another woman.

There was lots of sea than land so they brang a waka down too. After they have taken a look of Papatuanuku and did not think much of her they  decided to explore and find more land so they sailed on there waka.

A big storm came and since there dad is  the sky father they thought that there dad was telling them to go home so they said a karakia to bring the waka up but Aoraki that was in charge of the karakia but accidentally said it wrong which  made the waka down and onto an angle.

The storm started getting worse and worst so the brothers had to go onto the top of the waka and hugged each other and it was so cold that there hair turn white and finally into stone. Now the brother are called the Southern Alps.  Aoraki/ Mt Cook,  Raikroa/ Mt Dampier, Rakiura/Teichelmann last but not least Rarakioa/ Mt Silberhorn and thats how the south island was made!
